Story
I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2014, after many visits to the hospital I am now very happy to say that on medication I have had no fits in over a year. After having lived with epilepsy for almost 3 years I know how it can affect people's lives. Because of this I decided to support the Epilepsy Society by cycling 1000 miles, with my brother, from Land's End to John O' Groats.
Around 1 in 100 people in the UK have been diagnosed with epilepsy. Due to the general misunderstanding surrounding the disorder, this diagnosis can leave people feeling scared about what is to come. The epilepsy society is a charity that helps people who have epilepsy, it offers advice, support, and care to those who need it.
