Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Mum is a young 79 diagnosed with Dementia. Whilst being unable to go to work for Oxford University I have been supporting her by keeping her motivated and smiling lots, playing Rod Stewart and Elvis work a treat!
On 31st July I have set myself the challenge to row the width of the
English Channel (34,000 meters) on a static rowing machine to raise as much as possible for Dementia Oxford, part of Age UK, who support people like my Mum with Dementia to live well.
Dementia Oxfordshire is a partnership between three local charities, Age UK Oxfordshire, Guideposts and Young Dementia UK, who are bringing together their specialist expertise to develop and deliver a new Dementia Support Service for people of all ages.
The service is free to use. It is supported financially by
Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Oxfordshire County Council.
A big thank you and hope you will support me, Pete x
