This September I am planning to ride my bike from Venice to Rome in just 4 days! This will involve 4 hard days covering approx. 100 miles each day and climbing around 7,500 metres in altitude. It won't be easy. I feel in life we all need challenges to motivate us and find out just how far we can push ourselves.

In doing so I hope to raise as much money as possible for an amazing local charity : The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation. I am sure that you are already aware of the amazing work that they do. Our youngest daughter, Lara, who is now a very healthy 12 year old, was born 3 months early weighing only 2lbs 10oz. She spent 2 months in neo-natal intensive care unit here in Guernsey. We were lucky she was kept here as many parents have to stay in Southampton for their baby's care - away from home. It is for reasons like this that I want to raise as much as possible for this charity to help families like these.

The PPBF are raising money to provide a dedicated environment for families that is close to Southampton Hospital. They aim to purchase a property which they will turn into a home-from-home for the families during the most critical time of their little ones life. The project is called The Burrow and I really want to help them it a reality.
