Story

Of all the things that I like to do on a Sunday morning, running 5 kilometres around is a long way down the list. In fact, it’s not even on the list. However, on Sunday 18th October that’s exactly what I’ll be doing. I’ll be forgoing my normal Sunday morning routine of drinking copious amounts of sweet, milky tea and reading the papers in favour of slowly turning puce, clutching my chest dramatically and collapsing over the finish line after 3 miles of physical torture. And it’s all in aid of two very worthwhile causes: FC United of and children’s charity MedEquip4kids. FC United pride themselves on taking football into the community and MedEquip4kids supply help and equipment to hospitals for the care of babies and young children. So, if you could spare a few pounds in a good cause, two good causes, any contribution would be very welcome.
