Story
Many thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was lucky enough to get a qualifying time for the iconic Boston Marathon on 20th April this year but of course it was first postponed and then cancelled. I also had a place in the London Marathon which was also cancelled. However both race organisers are holding 'virtual' marathon events, where you run the full 26.2 miles locally, record it on your GPs device and submit it. Once you've proved that you've done it, they send you the medal and the t-shirt.
I want to use this opportunity to raise money for dementia services at Poole Hospital again. Anything you can spare will be very gratefully received and well used. Please dig deep! I've trained twice for these marathons now - for nearly a year!
I plan to do the virtual Boston race on 10th September (you can do it any day between 5th and 14th September). The date for the London race is 4th October. Anything you can spare to support this cause will be very gratefully received and well used at Poole Hospital.
