Story
On Friday 9th November, 18 colleagues from Peninsula will take on the challenge of sleeping outside for one night to raise funds and awareness to support people experiencing homelessness in Manchester. Hosted by Manchester Cathedral, the sleep out highlights some of the hardships that people have to face every night.
All money raised will go to the Booth centre who aim to end the homelessness in our city . We are asking for donations, big or small, so that the Booth Centre can help the homeless people in Manchester to make positive changes in their lives. The money raised allows them to provide 700 fresh, healthy meals every week. It allows them to offer a wide range of support, including help finding accommodation, help getting back into work, getting registered with a doctor, accessing benefits and legal advice, providing support to attend appointments, as well as offering support to tackle mental health, drug and alcohol issues.
The Manchester Sleep Out is a chance for the city to come together again to look after and better the lives of people that are less fortunate in our city.
Anything that you can give and donate would be appreciated.
