When I was 70 I raised money for school meals in Kwinella. Now I want something more permanent. A second well is urgently needed in Busumbala, as all the local women use the school water for their crops. There is room for a second well still in charity’s grounds but nearer to the fields. The women can then supply the school with vegetables etc. As well as providing for their families. So I am proposing to celebrate my birthday this way, instead of a grand family party . All collections of 5 or 50 pence will also go to this specific cause this year and I hope to receive donations as Christmas and birthday presents.

January 2021. Target reached, the well is built, a  farm created and produce is already being taken to market!

Thank you so much for giving , whether on or offline. Reaching target in time for my 80th birthday has made this very special! 

Just in case you still have some 5ps tucked away. My next target is much smaller. Enough to buy 100 chickens at £4 each, to populate the egg laying chicken farm currently being started! No birthday celebrations this time. I just thought the tomatoes being sold from the FSF farm are so big, they would look good in an omelette!
