Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So why am I doing it?
Paul is doing the Great North Run after he was diagnosed with Heart Disease back in January 2010.
With no prior illness or conditions, in January 2010 Paul collapsed for no reason and was then diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation which could not be controlled via medication. Following an extended period in hospital he was successfully treated with a series of ablations (radiofrequency & cryothermy).
Following the procedure he returned to normal life with no lasting issues (great news for my young family). Since this major life changing event he has taken up running to improve his own health and thought he would never run a mile never mind a half marathon!!
Therefore he has set himself the goal of completing such a mile stone event to prove that even after such a life changing event things do get better and you can go on to do things you never thought would be possible.
Paul would like to give something back and he would like to do it for a Charity who have helped the people who have worked wonders for him.
Thanks for taking the time review my page.
