We are the UK’s leading charity fighting to ensure a better future for young minds

Story

YoungMinds is the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with life's adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.

Mental health is still seen as a taboo subject, but last year, my 16 year old son was suddenly struck by very poor mental health.  Over a period of time, he became severely unwell and eventually was admitted into an adolescent inpatient unit, where he received great care, understanding and support for several months.

Everyday life, including his education, was put on hold, and now, months later, he is finally getting back on the road to recovery.  He has managed to return to school, all be it, on a part time basis.  As a family, we have worked hard to keep home and work life on track during this very difficult period in all our lives.

I want to complete this ride to raise awareness and as much money as possible for this wonderful cause, in the hope that other children and young people will get the care and support that we, but most of all our beautiful son, have all been given.  Your very kind donation will be gratefully received and put to very good use by YoungMinds.

Thank you very much for your support.

Paul.
