Story

Hello and thank you for visiting our #WinTheBike JustGiving page. If you support us we'll be eternally grateful.

We're Paul Jackson-Clark, Lothar Mentel and a team of good friends fundraising for Parkinson's UK – with a difference.

You can enter our FREE Prize Draw to win Paul's fantastic Brompton Bike (see the vid and pics below).

It's this easy:

1) Visit www.justgiving.com/teams/WinTheBike where you can make a donation to Parkinson’s UK

2) Text BIKE to 86222 to make an optional £5 donation via mobile.

3) Email winthebike@parkinsons.org.uk  with your name, address and telephone number

For different ways to enter (without donating) via SMS, email and post, please click here to read our terms and conditions.

On Sunday 5th June 2016, we're attempting to break the World Record for visiting the most NGS open gardens for charity on a Brompton Bike. The record is 15 in 7h:11m:53s. We've got from 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to do it and we must have tea and cake at each garden. It's hard work. But we're up for it. A gang of us set the current record in 2015. (If you want to join in drop Paul or Lothar a line - all bike types welcome.)

Then on Saturday 18th June 2016, as part of a group of slightly bonkers, hugely generous folk, we're attempting to ascend Mount Ventoux in the French alps. Ventoux, made famous by the Tour de France, is very high (1,912m), very long (23km) and very windy. But that's not all. We're doing it on a Brompton Bikes (well, Paul definitely is.)

Please spread the word #WinTheBike

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
