Story
A year has now passed since my lovely husband Paul left us. He loved his cats so much and respected the work that Kay, Ian and the volunteers do to help rescue cats and kittens.
Our 3 cats Monkey, Scarlett and Peanut mean so much to us both. Paul adored his kitties. These 3 over the last year have been one of the main reasons I have kept going. They make me get out of bed and survive for another day. They know just when to give me love and a cuddle and have been such a comfort in some very dark hours and days.
This year Consett Cat Rescue are struggling. They are a family run charity that run purely on charitable funding. Each and every Cat that lives at the Rescue is cared for and loved in Kay and Ian's home. Kay remembers EVERY Cat that she's had and likes to keep in touch with adopters just to check their welfare is still being taken care of. She really is amazing and goes above znd beyond for the cats in her care. This year though financially she has struggled and she is full and can't possibly carry on this way without some pennies.
So please if you have anything to spare please donate in Paul's memory to a charity that is close to my heart.

For the second year running Consett Cat Rescue have set up a campaign page so that people can donate directly towards our vet bills. We do ask for a donation towards the costs we have incurred on all cats at time of adoption but some cats have cost us £100s in vet bills if they have been poorly and this campaign is a way of trying to show you the public, how your donations help us with these extra costs.People are incredibly generous and kind and they always humble us with their willingness to help. We do the hands on cat stuff, looking after them, mucking out, feeding them, nursing them as well as all adoptions/rehoming but you the public, are just the best for what you do for us and we could not exist without you.Thank you
