Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After 2 years in the planning and 1 year of training, at 7am on June 11th 2011 I will be sucking in the salty sea air of John O'Groats and about to commence an epic 9 day, 1000 mile bike ride across Britain to Lands End in aid of William's Fund. Each day I will cycle up to 118 miles over some of the toughest terrain the country has to offer. Please see www.rideacrossbritain.com
William's Fund raises money for research into Childhood Cancers. It was established in 2001 in memory of William Dodd, who died on December 12th 2000 at the age of 4 years and 9 months. Childhood cancers behave in a very different way to adult cancers and the key to treatment lies in the diagnosis. I never met William but having 4 children myself his story inspired me to try and raise funds for this very worthwhile cause. Please see www.williamsfund.co.uk
