My son was born with Cerabral Palsy, and without all the treatment he received from the day he was born until now (30yrs later)he would not be the person he has turned out to be today.I also have Angina that I was diagnosed with Eight years ago and also received fantastic treatment. So I would like to think with all the donations that every one will raise by doing this walk will help lots of other people get the same chance we had.
21 alumni, staff and friends will walk the full Pennine Way (including Edale to Sheffield) covering 286 miles in 15 days. On the final day the One Day Challenge will see over 100 individuals from the University walk from Edale to Sheffield covering over 18 miles. We are doing this to raise funds for Lung Disease research at the University of Sheffield, specifically our leading research in Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension - a life–threatening condition affecting the lungs and the right side of the heart.
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Donating through Just Giving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Just Giving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the University.
