Story
HELLO THERE! Now, I bet you're thinking 'what on earth is this all about!?!' - well, here goes... and I'll keep it brief, honestly!
After five years of trying, I have finally managed to secure a place in the 2010 Virgin London Marathon.
It was a tough decision which charity to raise money for, but after much deliberating I decided to help the A1 Ward at the Grimsby Diana Princess of Wales Hospital.
All the staff there work incredibly hard to treat people with a variety of malignant diseases such as cancer, and blood diseases including leukaemia.
My father Dr Kevin Speed has been the consultant haematologist at the hospital for the past 28 years, so thought it fitting that if I should raise any money for charity, it should go towards the A1 ward.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are kept safe – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
So if you can, please donate towards this very worthy cause!
Thanks a lot,
Paul
