Resolution 15K Run - Richmond Park
21st November, 2010
In 1999 my Father had a very bad stroke, which I saw first hand, and it was most definitely the worst feeling of my life! Luckily, he survived, but the impact of the stroke on his, and my Mum's lives has been extremely acute.
The same year I ran the London Marathon, and managed to finish, albeit with a dodgy time. Since that day I have always wanted to raise money for the Stroke Association, because of what happened in 1999, but have either been rejected to run for them, or have suffered injuries (fractured feet and knee ligaments come to mind).
I finally managed to get the green light to run for the Stroke Association last month and entered the Revolution 15K. Thanks to some pals, I have also managed to motivate myself to train for the run in November, and am making progress.
Im aiming to raise £2000 for this charity, and so would be grateful if you would contribute. It would mean a lot to my Father and my family, and will also help the Charity raise the money to help those who have been affected by a stroke. It really is a dangerous medical condition, and if not caught early can kill.
Please help me reach my target. Many Thanks.
Paul.
