Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice

My mum gave birth to me aged 16 & from that age she has suffered from epilepsy, in later life she became a little forgetful & we thought it was from years of epilepsy medication & being seriously porly and in comas on a number of occasions.

As more time has passed we were told she had early stages of dementia, through all her troubles (even when dad passed away at aged only 46)the little love fought on & is still with us today, but is totally dependant on care & unable to interact with us, there are odd days when she notices her loved ones & that keeps us all going.

Dementia is such a cruel thing for patient & family,  I'm hoping to raise a little money & help find a cure
