Story
Hi, My name is Paul Patterson, I am a father from Northumberland.
Young people especially are struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, and suicidal thoughts more than any generation before them. Unfortunately On October 1st 2020 we found out the true cost of this crisis when my wife and I lost our 12 year old daughter, Charley-Ann Patterson, to suicide.
We think it’s important to take care of our future generations and give them the tools we never had, If You Share Care offer this within their prevention service which is greatly needed and very unfunded.
I will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro bewteen 5th-11th September 2023
I am doing this because everyone at If You Care Share is very passionate about helping others deal with this grief and alot comes from a variety of personal experience of losing a loved one to suicide.
100% of all funds raised will go to this charity.
Exercise has helped me greatly in my own battle since losing Charley, and I am hoping to not only raise money, but also awareness.
