Story
Hi All
I have unfortunately failed to overcome an unexpected hurdle in my quest to complete this years London Marathon for Sparks - Childrens Medical Charity.
With huge regret I have been forced to withdraw from the race this year as I have failed to overcome a virus which has laid me up for the last month. I am on a second round of antibiotics and have to revisit the doctor again for some blood tests on Friday ! And this after completing pretty much all my training over the last 4 months that culminated in 2 runs of over 20 miles.
I am obviously hugely dissapointed but have been guaranteed a place to run by Sparks in next years London Marathon and I have even booked myself into the Loch Ness Marathon later in the year too. I'm even vowing to pick up on my training and finally complete a marathon as soon as I am recovered.
I appreciate all of the support you have offered me and if you are happy to keep your sponsorship pledge with me I promise to complete the mission with a slight delay and deliver on my pledge to help Sparks.
And if any of you fancy joining me at either Loch Ness or next years London - then please let me know!
Paul
