Story
I've been an ambassador for The Sporting Memories Network a while now and I cannot begin tell you how much good work they do!
The founders Tony Jameson Allen and Chris Wilkins work tirelessly to support older people across the UK living with dementia, depression and loneliness by engaging them in social activities and helping them to recall memories of watching or playing sport. By sharing memories of sporting moments and tapping into a passion for sport they help people to connect with others and with their past, reawakening positive thoughts and feelings that otherwise remain hidden away.
They really touched me with their work and it's great to know that there is this kind of support around when people are having dark days..
We've all been there and I'd like you to give what you can as I embark on my first big run to show my support.
Thank you, thank you, thank you x
