Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After my heroic Swimathon in 2011 (where I finished round about 2500th out of nearly 20,000 participants I may add) I have now set myself my next target and for a charity a little bit closer to home. As anyone who knows me will attest, I'm no long distance runner, never have been. The next line of that is usually 'never will be', but I'm going to do my utmost to change that by entering the Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 27th May 2012. That's 13 miles. THIRTEEN MILES. All at once. I will be racing in aid of The British Heart Foundation. For anyone who doesn't know, my Grandad died of a heart attack when I was younger and this is the main reason why I chose this one ahead of all of the other officially registered charities.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
You now know my reasons for doing this, so please dig deep and donate now. I have a fundraising target of £350, but with your help I would love to beat the £430 that I raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care with the Swimathon.
Thanks
Paul
