Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you may know that my wife Sally was diagnosed with Remitting and Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in September 2007. MS is a disease that has no cure and affects individuals in many different ways, which makes treating it very difficult. Sally is on a medication regime that involves injections three times a week for the rest of her life. To complement the medication it is important to adopt strategies in many other parts of life in terms of nutrition, exercise, and mental health that supports a positive approach to the disease.
I am running the London Marathon to raise funds for The MS Resource Centre (MSRC) which provides important information and support to MS sufferers and their families. Alistair Hignell CBE who played rugby for England and Cricket for Gloucestershire and is a MS sufferer is Patron of the Charity. Alistair's case demonstrates how indiscriminate the disease is!
