JDRF - Cycle Mexico · 19 November 2009 ·
Hi Everyone!
As many of you will remember, my old dad and I went to Russia in September 2005 to cycle between St Petersburg and Moscow. Well, four years on, the bruising has subsided and we are ready to go again, this time to Mayan country in Mexico! This time however, my brother has decided that he fancies coming and spending a week in my slipstream! We leave for the Yucatan peninsula on November 19th so anything you can muster to donate before that time will be hugely appreciated.
We are required to raise a total of £7200 fo the National Deaf Children's Society and we are are well on the way, having raised over £4000 by holding a charity golf day and sportsman's dinner at the George Washington Golf and Country Club, my place of employment, last October.
It is now time that I approached all of you in an attempt to squeeze as much out of everyone I know for the charity.
NDCS is a wonderful charity which is making huge advances to benefit deaf children across the world. Here is a brief resume of what they are about:
Our vision is a world without barriers for every deaf child
Our mission is to remove the barriers to the achievement of deaf children throughout the world. We do this by:
We believe that:
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Much love.
Paul (on behalf of John and Tom)
