Story
Hi - thanks for taking the time to read my story. As many of you will know this is a topic which is very close to my heart, after my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour just a few months ago. My dad has just gone through his first round of treatment and I’m pleased to say he is doing really well and whilst they can’t get rid of the tumour completely, there is a chance they can control its development and give him the opportunity to (hopefully) live a fair few more years yet.
Having seen first hand the brutality of this terrible disease and the devastation it can cause in a very short space of time, I felt it quite pertinent to do my bit for an amazing charity, Macmillan Cancer Support - which provides such incredible support to both patients and families alike; who are going through the trauma of dealing with this awful disease.
I’ve set a target of raising £300 in the next 2 months (although I aim to smash this figure!!) before taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks with some colleagues from Michael Page. Please dig deep and give as generously as you can afford.
My mission - the Yorkshire Three Peaks – Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough. An arduous 25 mile hike that takes in 5000 feet of climbing; and all in under 12 hours. The Michael Page team will raise a minimum of £30,000.
Thanks in advance for generously supporting our efforts in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support - your generosity is greatly appreciated by me, my family and the many people who benefit from the incredible services Macmillan Cancer Support provide.
