Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am racing on behalf of my fiancee who died of cancer in November 2012. She was diagnosed with lymphoma and received wonderful treatment at The Christie since June 2011, as well as from The Docs in Bloom St in Manchester and Wythenshawe Hospital.
We got engaged on September 16th at Northcote Manor in Blackburn, and wouldve got married this year if she had been well enough. She died on Nov 9th. Her condition deteriorated a week before, and she passed away with me and my and herfamily by her bedside. It was my 33rd birthday. She was 33.
I and many of her friends and workcolleagues at Manchester University Publishing are all racing to raise money for The Christie.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - more money is raised, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
One of Reena's last wishes was that no one buy flowers for her, but donate to The Christie. So many thousands of people will get the diagnosis Reena did, but your contribution can help provide the nursing assistance, and funding of cancer research, to support and, in the future, save thousands more still.
