Story
After a year long battle with Pancreatic Cancer Hazel Howden-Leach passed away on the 21st July 2011. The support of Macmillan throughout her illness was essential in ensuring that she could enjoy the last months of her life as pain free as possible. Macmillan also supported her family and friends during this distressing period and I suppose it is my turn to support them.
I decided to have a go at the Edinburgh Marathon again. The pain and agony is now forgotten as I have obviously drunk enough wine since then to remove the bain cells which were storing the memory of those 26 miles. So much so that I am aiming to take part in 5 races in 2012, which will cover over 100 miles and about 30,000 feet of up-hill.
Edale skyline 21 miles
Eyam Half Marathon 13 miles
Edinburgh Marathon 26 miles
Borrowdale 18 miles
The Yorkshireman 26 miles
To all that have supported Hazel's mamorial page I thank you and between on-line donations, cash and cheques £1000 was raised.

I'd like to get that figure up to £5,000 is possible, so I need the help of everyone and anyone I might know. Please feel free to pass this link on to as many people as you can, and thank you for your kind donations.
Right I'm off for a run, so here is the standard JustGiving info.
Many Thanks
Paul
