Story
I am taking on 2 challenges to support Charity for Kids as they support lots of Sick, Disabled and Terminally-ill Children
The 1st challenge will see myself and 3 others create a team to swim 21 miles across the North Channel (Ireland to Scotland), we will need to battle many challenges including cold water ranging 11 degrees to 15, sea sickness along with the nasty Lions mane jellyfish.
The 2nd challenge will consist of Cycling 270 miles form Hastings to Portsmouth (100 miles) 70 miles around the Isle of Wight (day 2), finally cycling from Portsmouth back to Hastings (100 miles, day 3).
Currently I am raising funds to support Summer Finaly.
Summer is a 9 year old girl from St Leonards on Sea. Summer was born with Spina-Bifida and Hydrocephalus which has left her Wheelchair dependant. She had a major surgery in Jan 2020 to fully reconstruct her bladder and is currently on the waiting list for Spinal surgery to correct her scoliosis!
Summer doesn't let this stop her and lives her life to the fullest. Competing in multiple sports from dance to Badminton - cheerleading to WCMX. This is her biggest and favourite sport which consists of riding her wheelchair around a Skatepark and performing stunts! Summer would like to work her way up to competition level and possibly even Paralympic level!
Summer is in need of a new everyday wheelchair as she has outgrown her one and this new one will be more supportive of her back and posture as well as lasting her well into her teens.
