Story

Thank you for taking a moment to visit my 'Just Giving' page.

I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to fund much needed help with research, support and patient care for people suffering from Fibromyalgia. My daughter Gemma suffers from this debilitating condition together with tens of thousands of other people here in the UK and around the world. It is suggested as many as 1 in 20 people suffer from Fibromyalgia in one way or another.

Gemma is my inspiration. I've watched on as she has battled on through the pain and suffering for many years now without complaint and still she continues on with her busy life at University as well as completing the Brighton 10K in 2014. Seeing her keeping fit  (which does help with the management of the condition) has spurred me on to put on my running shoes and try and get fitter plus raise some money for a very well deserving charity.

I'm not a runner but I've completed the NHS 'Couch to 5K' which is a great running program that takes you from walking up to running 30 minutes without stopping. I can't recommend this running program enough. Download the podcast and you are supported all the way telling you when to run and when to walk with some good music in between.

So please give a little and together we can give something to others.
