Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Joss Naylor Challenge is for mature runners who have to cover the 48 miles, 17,000' and 30 mountain tops from Pooley Bridge to Nether Wasdale in the Lakes in under 12h (for v50-54).  So I've chosen the wettest summer, too late in the year to attempt this. If I miss the12h cut-off I'll have to come back next spring to try to settle the score!

It is, however, an excuse to raise some much needed money for an excellent cause. The People's Kitchen provides food, clothing and friendship for 650 disadvantaged people a week in Newcastle. It is a transparent organisation, staffed by volunteers, where your money goes where you want it to. I hope that those of us who can afford to feed ourselves comfortably will warm to this charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
