Charcot-Marie-Tooth UK (formerly CMT United Kingdom) is the national support group for people affected by Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, aka Hereditary Motor and Sensory Neuropathy. We provide advice, support and information for people with the condition, family, carers and medical professionals.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Snowdonia Marathon for Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease, otherwsie known as CMT which is a neurological disorder that is though to affect 23,000 people in the UK.

It can affect people very differently but ultimately will result in the gradual deterioration of both the motor and sensory neves, causing foot bone abnormalities, problems with hand function and desterity, balance problems and long term pain.

There is no known cure for CMT but with more funding more research can be done into how its sufferers lives can be improved, that can only be a good thing
