Maynard's 90th Birthday
Fundraising for Help for Heroes
Fundraising for Help for Heroes
Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for my Father Maynard Follett.
In July 2014 Maynard will reach the ripe age of 90. For some years he has been an enthusiastic supporter of the charity 'Help for Heroes' and is responsible for a number of their collecting boxes in Kettering. He was a young serving soldier in WW2, seeing action in Italy and had postings in N Africa, Greece and India.
Maynards' deepest wish is to help raise more money for this famous charity that supports the rehab of wounded service personnel. Look here if you want a summary of the fantastic work they are doing: http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/how-we-help/recovery-centres/index.html
So the plan is: ...........................
Maynard likes to take regular walks around his home town of Kettering and the proposal is that he will walk at least 90 miles during June 2014, to set himself a challenge that you can sponsor.
Please start giving now to help him reach or perhaps exceed his target of £1000. The rest of the family will make sure he does not overdo it, .... so no grandparents will be harmed as he walks towards his total !! We will be logging his progress each day during June 2014 to see how far he has gone towards his target, so watch this space.

................. every little bit helps.
