Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In August 2018 I suffered a “Widow Maker” heart attack which is a total blockage of one of the key arteries in the heart with a survival rate of less than 5% that then caused me to go into Cardiac Arrest.
I was fortunate to be attended by Thames Valley Air Ambulance who administered immediate medical attention at the scene and a series of "shocks" to keep me alive whilst I was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital which took over 2 hours given the seriousness of my condition.
I will always be truly grateful the Helicopter team, Dr Chloe Spence and paramedic Jo Meadham who described the scene as "the toughest cardiac incident we've ever attended"
Without this specialist emergency care I would not be alive today and I am running the marathon for Thames Valley Air Ambulance to say a heartfelt thank you for saving my life but also raising funds so they are able to continue to save many others who need their help each and every day.
