When we agreed to do this skydive I didn't actually think that it would come around this fast and then suddenly be ten days away from takeoff. Please spare a thought for the sheer terror that I will be forced to endure when considering your donation, although this is not all about me, it is about fundraising for the Gift of Sight.

I like to think that the donations will be used to stop somebody from answering a hot iron by mistake or to make sure that their toilet brush is not left in the toilet bowl but actually, your donations will be used to fund serious research into macular degeneration, glaucoma, inherited retinal diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and childhood conditions such as nystagmus.

I will let you know how it goes and I am really excited about next sunday. I am sure that the probable 16 year old Y.T.S. spotty, parachute instructors and pilot know what they are doing when they are in the air but... I am still feeling quite apprehensive about the whole thing and it is certainly guaranteed to be a real eye opener for all of the people involved.
