Story

So John and I are always at CHSS events encouraging amazing people to push themselves, to keep going, to not worry about the 'pain' and to raise much-needed and valued funds for CHSS. So because we want to show our 'nuff respect' for our event supporters and because we are a bit mad, a bit daring, a tad gung-ho, slightly worried that we getting past our prime and were a wee bit tiddly when we thought of it, we have entered the legendary 'Strathpuffer 24 Hour Mountain Bike Event'!!!

The event is based in Strathpeffer north of Inverness and takes place  in January, in the forest, on an undulating 11km off-road route, with approx 17 hours of darkness with the potential for lots of scary things to appear. The objective is to complete as many route laps as possible in 24 hours...and also to survive...and remain friends with each other...and not to cry...and of course to raise funds and awareness for CHSS.

Think cold, snow, ice, bumps, trees, strange noises, tired legs and two slightly ageing men who will end up with baboons bottoms... More event info at www.strathpuffer.co.uk and of course www.chss.org.uk

So please consider sponsoring the two of us this Xmas and to help start 2013 off in very good charitable manner - you'll feel so good about yourself trust me!

PS Our Xmas present wish list includes: padded shorts, tena pads for men, blankets, red cross parcels, bobbly hats and hot water bottles...

Thanks - Paul & John (aka Jack & Victor)
