Story
Trek to Machu Picchu to raise money for Save the Children.
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, this is the first time that I have ever had the opportunity to fund raise on such a scale and I am really proud to be taking part.
The Trek itself is going to be quite a challenge, walking over 8 hours a day for six days will be tough, especially when camping outside in a tent with temperatures at -10 deg.C. What makes this even more of a challenge is that the trail is 2,430m above sea level and even the fittest find the lack of oxygen at this altitude really hard work.
Save the Children is a fantastic charity and I hope you will agree it’s a very worthy cause.
Before you make a donation I have answered a few questions that are often asked:-
Q: Is the money going to fund the trip and how much will actually end’s up going to the charity?
A: The trip has been fully paid for already, so every penny you donate will go directly to Save the Children.
Q: What does the charity do with the money?
A: Save the Children helped improve the lives of over 3 million children in 2010 alone in the UK and across the world. To list what they do here would be impossible but please visit the web site as below to find out.

Q: Does the charity spend the money wisely?
A: For every £1 you donate 87p benefit’s the children directly, the other 13p goes towards raising the next £1
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks in advance for you donation, it is very much appreciated.
Regards
Paul
