Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My beautiful Aunty was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy during her fight with this horrible illness.

Unfortunately, after her brave fight Aunty Isobel passed away in March at the age of 59. She was always at the centre of our family and an important part of all our lives, loved by everyone who was lucky enough to know her. Even at the height of her illness she still found time to care for and support people regardless of her own plight. We should have had many more years with her but this cruel disease took her too soon.

I decided to challenge myself and started an 18 week running programme aiming to achieve a 3hr marathon at Edinburgh. During this programme I will run 6 times a week covering approximately 700 miles as I prepare to attempt to cut 23 minutes off my marathon personal best. I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon in memory of my Aunty and Godmother, Isobel McNaught. Always in our hearts x.
