Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I'm walking again for our local hospice, St Luke's, whose devoted staff and volunteers provide free hospice care for Harrow and Wembley people in the last stages of their lives.
We're doing the Cleveland Way National Trail from its start at Helmsley and finishing at Whitby, where the mug-shot was taken on the recce. I'll be walking about 55 miles between 3 and 7 May. It's a very varied walk, 3½ days being over the North York Moors, followed by 1½ along the cliff path from Saltburn to Whitby. To see more about our route #mce_temp_url#.
There will be around 85 of us walking, and we all meet our own costs of accommodation, food and transport, so every penny of your donation goes directly to patient care. We have funded the hospice for about two weeks in each of the last 15 years, and we hope to do at least as well this year.
Last year, there was a gap in the back-up team so Anne and I manned a check point for each of the 5 days, but this year I'm glad to be walking again in this marvellous, but challenging, country.
