Myself and my dad Gerry, who is a cancer nurse, will be running the Jedburgh Half-Marathon in order to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians. We both visited Palestine this summer and witnessed the suffering of the Palestinian people and the pressure on their health service. Gerry visited several hospitals and Bethlehem University's nursing school this summer and will be returning to Palestine in the new year to collaborate in several lectures on nursing.

 

Medical Aid for Palestinians:

-supplies hospitals and clinics with specialist equipment and other essential items in short supply.

-trains local health workers, doctors and nurses to ensure that all Palestinians receive health care now and in the future.

-through its disability projects encourages dialogue and awareness whilst equipping mothers and carers of children with disabilities with practical supplies.
