RSPCA Inspectorate Trek · 22 February 2013 ·
Those who know me know that I am immensely proud to be an RSPCA Inspector and also know I don't shy away from taking on a challenge, so will surely agree that a trek up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise much needed funds for the RSPCA is a perfect combination! On 22nd February 2013 i will be part of a team of 15 RSPCA frontline staff who have undertaken the challenge to reach the summit. But the training starts here and now.....as does the fundraising to ensure i smash my target of £4,000.
For me, a typical day involves investigating complaints of cruelty and neglect and whilst many simply require advice to be given and changes to be made, sadly I have also seen some truly horrific cases were animals have suffered at the hands of humans. Thankfully I have also had the privilege of helping to achieve justice for these animals in the courts whilst witnessing the amazing recovery many of them have made, the happiness they have found in their new homes and the happiness they have brought to their new owners.
The RSPCA is devoted in its dedication to preventing cruelty to animals and I am proud to be able to play my part in achieving this, and now it’s your opportunity to join me. Whilst I realise finances are stretched in almost every household across the country at the moment, I would be most grateful for a donation for this fantastic charity. The RSPCA does not receive any Government funding and operates thanks to the generosity of the public. I don't care how large or small the donation is, but I do care that you care enough to help us continue in our battle to try and prevent animal cruelty from continuing......Thank you.
