Bury Hospice does 'Strictly come Dancing' as 32 contestants gear up for the dance challenge of their life. Each will spend 12 weeks learning new dances to be performed in front of a live audience.

Story

Heather and Keith have persuaded me to take part in this year's 'Strictly Best Foot Forward' annual fundraising event for Bury Hospice. Despite being a complete novice, I am delighted to undertake the challenge with Keith to support such a worthy cause and in memory of my husband, Mark and Keith's wife, Kath.

Hospices are truly remarkable places and offer care and support to patients and their families at a very difficult time, when they need it the most. 

Every donation counts, so please support the hospice by making a donation, if you can.

It costs £2.9 million pounds to run Bury Hospice, and as a charity we have to raise over £2.3 million through community support. Bury Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care to hundreds of residents and their families across Bury. It will cost to run the Hospice this year £4.5million and we raise 87% of this total, but with the support of our community we continue to provide care and services to those who need it.
