I was extremely fortunate to have a late routine scan during lockdown and a tiny tumour was found.  I want to thank the staff in the laboratory who I didn't meet but their skill was so important, and everyone at the breast care unit and Queen's at Castle Hill where I had an operation and radiotherapy.    

I visited the Pink Rose Suite for chemotherapy and it was the best possible experience in the circumstances.  Everyone was brilliant and so patient when I lost the path lab cards and left my book behind.  The cups of tea were always welcome and for lunchtime appointments the buns and puddings were excellent.  I've just got another couple of six months apart treatments to protect my bones and three more yearly scans which I obviously hope will be OK.
