Brain Tumour UK has merged with The Brain Tumour Charity to become the UK's largest dedicated brain tumour charity. We fund research and offer support and information to those affected whilst raising awareness and influencing policy.

Story

Hi All,

As some of you may know 23rd of February last year my other half Mark collapsed on me and ended up in intensive care. A week later he was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour which turned out to b e cancerous.

Mark started on a gruelling combined chemo and radiotherapy for 6 weeks and then 6 months of chemo.

Mark has now completed his chemo and now will be monitored every 6 months by having an MRI scan.

We now are embarking on fund-raising for Brain Tumour UK and both Mark and I have decided to run the 10k this year and then sign up for the London marathon next year (due to baby Pierpont / Toshney coming any day now it was impossible to do the marathon!!)

The Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running will take place on 3rd October 2010. Marathon entry is guaranteed on a first come, first served basis until race limit is reached or 1 May, whichever is sooner.

You will need to register Brain Tumour UK via a Just giving.com website

Please contact me if you have any question or need some help registering!

Cheers
