Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday December 5th 2010, I will, once again, be running the Cayman Islands Marathon to help raise funds for the Herfordshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre.
For those of you who do not know, Multiple Sclerosis is a very debilitating and unpredictable disease of the nervous system and can affect people in different ways and of different ages. As yet, there is no cure, but treatment makes a huge difference to mobility and limits the progress of MS.
The Centre offers a number of different therapies such as: Oxygen Therapy, Physiotherapy, Counseling Support, Nutrition Advice, Yoga, Massage Therapy and Reflexology. Therapies are subsidised by the Centre and no member is turned away if they cannot afford the therapies they need to help them cope with their illness.
The Centre is entirely self funded and does not receive any funding from Government, the Health Service or any statutory body. As their running costs are over £300,000 per year they rely on fundraising efforts and the generosity of many companies and individuals, service clubs and charitable trusts for support. Any financial help toward this would be greatly appreciated.
Please support me in this effort to help raise funds for individuals suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.
Thank you.
Pam.
