Story

I am taking part in my first ever Triathlon on Sunday September 11th 2022 on and around Ullswater, to raise money for St. Mary's Hospice. This comprises of 3km SUP, 20km Cycling and 5km running.

St. Mary's Hospice has been a big part of my families life from soon after it opened, when my step-mum began as a volunteer bereavement counsellor. In the last few years she has become a paid member of staff for the hospice and continues in her role as bereavement counsellor. The Hospice has been a huge support and comfort to several members of my family and  friends, in their last days, providing the care and support needed. None of which could have been provided without the help of the community as it costs over £4.7m a year to keep the hospice open and services running, with only 18% of that funding, coming from the NHS.

Please help me to support them by donating towards my upcoming event.
