Story
Well Paddy did it. he bravely set out to his year 11 prom in a beatiful blue dress, raising money for LLR. We are all so proud of you.
Angus Rowland was my friend. We met in year 7 at St Pauls Catholic College and would get the minibus to school everyday. We had such a laugh on those journeys. I could not believe it when he was diagnosed with leukaemia at the beginning of yr 9. We would meet up at the park when he came home but he was getting weaker. Angus's leukaemia was very aggressive and did not respond to treatment and I lost my friend at the end of yr 9 in May 2011.
Now we are nearing the end of year 11 and our Prom is approaching on 11th July. Angus should be here to enjoy it with us. I have decided to remember him by going to prom in a dress and hope that my friends and family will sponsor me for being so brave and or stupid!!! Anything that you can give will be brilliant.
Angus's family have set up the Angus Rowland Forgetmenot Fund to raise money to find treatments that will help other teenagers overcome leukaemia. You can follow their progress on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/AngusRowlandFMNFund
