Story
16th September 2011
Sorry for the delay with the update.
The coast to coast was a huge success with everyone completing with no real problems. A couple of punctures and the odd break down were had but were easily overcome!
The whole purpose of the event was to raise awareness and money for testicular and prostate cancer. Donations were made along the way which I would like to that people for.
Cheers also to our support crew who went out of their way to transport us, look after us, feed us etc. You know who you are! (Mike, Jayne, Kath and our bus driver) Cheers.
I would like to remind everyone that this is an on going campaing and more events will be happening over the next year or so, so watch this space.
In the mean time spread the word as we dont want to loose momentum after our first event ;-).
Once again, thanks so much for your support to date.
Pad.

Also, cheers everyone for their donations to date. Fundraising is getting slightly adictive!
I feel that it is only right that all the team involved are reconised. So in no particular order the team consists of;

What a team :-)
So if you know any of these people please donate and show your support.

10th March 2011
So, a week or two since I set up this page and we have raised 120 english pounds which is great!
Thanks so much! thanks especially to people who I don't even know. (Cat and Lindsay!)
All I can ask is that you keep promoting the cause. Everyman is such a great campaign as awareness of male cancers could be so much better. I only found out about Everyman months after being diagnosed with 'C'....this needs to be changed but needs dosh to do this!
Preperatin for the Coast to Coast challenge is going well and is definatley happening on August bank holiday 2011.
Other events are planned, so please watch this space.
Cheers folks. Pad
The day I was told I had testicular cancer is not a day I would like to relive. Yeah, there are so many worse things that happen in this world, but for one moment, my mind couldn't comprehend anything else.
What do I do?, who do I tell?, how do I tell them?, how bad is it?, what is it?, has it been caught early?, will I ever have kids?, will it kill me?
The list of questions just went on and on.
Everyman is an organisation that fund research and awareness of testicular and prostate cancer. Using Just Giving is one of the most direct and safest ways of donating money. Please do!
To help convice you, a group of intrepid cyclists are riding the coast to coast this coming August, please support us. Cheers Paddy
