About the trip

Southmead Project CEO Dr Mike Peirce MBE and his crew will paddle from Devizes to the Houses of Parliament to raise awareness of the challenges faced by charities providing child abuse support services. Funding for these services is inconsistent or non-existent, despite a growing body of evidence that shows the extent of child abuse and the long-term damage it can cause. It is time for politicians and decision-makers to take positive action for change.
