Dad sustained a traumatic brain injury in 2016 which was life changing for him and us as a family. Though he made a good recovery , his life was changed overnight and he faced a number of challenges that he had to learn to live with. 

It is so hard to come to terms with something like this, when you still have the insight to know what your life was like before. 

Though we had four more years with Dad, which we are so grateful to have had, sadly , in early October this year he  passed away. It was a peaceful goodbye. 

Having someone you love go through this, can be heartbreaking at times. Information, advice and support is so important to achieving and maintaining the best quality of life possible. 

Headway provides information, advice and support for people living with brain injury and their families, who are often walking alongside them, enabling them to navigate the challenging journey ahead. They  provide an essential life line to those effected by brain injury. 

This is such a worthy cause....Dad would have thought so too.
