The great Whitehall Park School nature themed cake
decorating competition
(otherwise known as the summer fete that never was)
Put your lockdown baking practice to good use and support PTCA
fundraising with our nature themed cake decorating competition.
If you are wondering how a socially distanced bake-off might
work – well, this is all about looks not taste so feel free to decorate a brick if baking isn’t your thing. All we need is a photo of your nature-themed creation!
How to enter
Please sign up via our JustGiving page here and leave a message saying you are entering the competition and name and year group of your child.
Entry is £5 per person
Send photos of your masterpiece to
wpsfriends@whitehallparkschool.org.uk
by Friday 4th July
Photos will be posted on the PTCA Facebook page and prizes given
for the most imaginative cake in each year group.
20% of all funds raised will go to the Whittington Hospital wishlist, everything else will go towards completing the development of the woodland play and learning area at school.
If you don’t fancy baking but would like to support the woodland play and learning project, please feel free to make a donation - all support very much appreciated.
Our story
We are delighted to share that work to develop the woodland area at school is starting (in a socially distanced way of course), funded by the PTCA. This was our big project for the year and will bring some great additional outdoor play and learning options for all the kids, particularly as social distancing at school looks set to remain a feature for quite some time.
The completed work will include two decking areas, an amphitheatre style seating area - as well as nature trails, welly boot storage, and planting.
The bad news is that to fully complete all the work (including planting), we were planning on allocating some of the summer fete funds towards the project – and for obvious reasons this won’t now be happening.
So, to help top up funds we are hosting a nature-themed cake decorating competition, or if baking isn't your thing but you'd like to support the project please feel free to make a small donation on this justgiving page. (Just think how much less work that will be than running a BBQ or organising a raffle at the fete 😊).
