To commemorate Mandela Day, PennWell Corporation, organisers of POWER-GEN & DistribuTECH Africa is delighted to announce that we will be working with SolarAid. 

SolarAid is an international charity that combats poverty and climate change. They provide access to solar lights in some of the most remote regions of the world. As energy industry professionals we understand the direct correlation between access to energy and access to a higher quality of life.

PennWell will be making a donation at the POWER-GEN & DistribuTECH Opening Keynote, at 09:30-11:00 18 July 2017. We would like to encourage others to make contribution as part of Nelson Mandela Day.

No one should be left in the dark. Your donation will help provide a rural African family with a solar light and a sense of hope and opportunity. The donations enable SolarAid to spend more to reach the most remote rural areas where no other organisations will go and the need for solar is greatest. In these areas SolarAid works to educate and build trust in the solar technology and this builds initial demand for solar lights. As little as 70 ZAR would enable SolarAid to distribute one more solar light to a family in rural Africa
