Story

My name is Chris. I'm 12 and I live in Sheffield.  During lockdown when I got bored I discovered that riding my wheelchair over bubble wrap was a huge amount of fun. It kept me busy and everyone just loved to stop and watch, they loved the sound. It brought big smiles to everyone's faces. I thought I should do it as a fundraising event for many reasons.  There are many people like me who would never be able to run a marathon or even do a sponsored walk because they use a wheelchair, but this is something that you need wheels to do.

I want to raise £500 to support Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice by doing the worlds first (I think) POP-A-THON. I will ride my wheelchair over 10 metres of giant Bubble wrap, bursting ever bubble in the quickest time possible. Many of my school friends and many children at Bluebell Wood use wheelchairs and this would be a great activity for them too to take part in so I would love it if a POP-A-THON became as big as a Marathon.

Come and watch me POP on Sunday 20th September at 2pm at Norfolk Park main entrance on Granville Rd Sheffield S2.

Covid19 has cancelled many of Bluebell Woods fundraising events this year so they really need my help.
